TubeAmplify is a YouTube growth toolkit. This page explains what data it collects and how it's used, in plain language.

TubeAmplify is operated by Zylstra Pty Ltd (ACN 686 452 077, ABN 75 686 452 077), an Australian private company. Zylstra Pty Ltd is the entity responsible for the personal information described below.

TubeAmplify uses YouTube API Services. By using TubeAmplify you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy describes how Google handles data on their side.

What we collect

  • Google account info: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • YouTube data about your channel: your channel's videos, their view, like and comment counts, and your YouTube Analytics history, read through the YouTube API Services with the view-only permissions you grant when you connect your channel. TubeAmplify cannot change anything on your channel.
  • YouTube data about other videos: public figures for other channels' videos you choose to follow, and the top search results for phrases you research, read through the YouTube Data API.
  • Browser extension: if you install it, the extension runs on the youtube.com and YouTube Studio pages you open. It reads what the page shows, such as the title, description, tags, chapters, hashtags and the channel's subscriber count as YouTube displays it, to run its checks in your browser; those checks are not sent to us. It sends us the ID of the video you are viewing, to show its figures, and only when you ask for a score, a suggestion or a thumbnail, the title, description, tags or thumbnail image that needs. In YouTube Studio it fills your title, description, tags and thumbnail from your saved draft when you press "Put it in", and nothing changes until you press Save in Studio.

What we never do

  • We never upload, edit, publish, or delete anything on your YouTube channel. Every AI-generated title, description, tag, or thumbnail is stored only as a draft inside TubeAmplify, until you put it into YouTube Studio and save it there yourself.
  • We never sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

How we use Google user data

TubeAmplify's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

TubeAmplify will never delete anything on your YouTube channel, and cannot. It asks Google only for permission to view your channel and its analytics. TubeAmplify contains no code that deletes a video, playlist or comment, and an automated check on every release fails the build if any is added. If you connected before 2 October 2026 you may have granted edit access, which TubeAmplify no longer uses; you can remove it by removing TubeAmplify from your Google Account permissions and connecting again.

Deleting your account deletes your data. From the Account page you can remove your account outright. That erases your tracked videos, every view snapshot and analytics record held for them, your drafts and your usage history, and hands your Google permission back so TubeAmplify no longer appears in your Google account. It happens immediately; there is no grace period, because holding your data for another thirty days is the thing you asked us to stop doing. A video another TubeAmplify user also tracks stays in their account. We remove your copy and your access, not theirs.

How long we keep YouTube data. Statistics for your own connected channel, such as views over time, are kept while your channel stays connected, so your history builds up. Figures and details for videos on other channels, such as competitor videos you track and keyword research results, are kept for no more than 30 days, as YouTube's API policies require: older readings are deleted automatically, and a competitor video nobody tracks any more is removed entirely within 30 days.

For changes TubeAmplify published for you before 1 October 2026, it keeps what the video said beforehand, so you can undo them from inside the app. YouTube keeps no history of metadata edits, so this is the only copy.

In practice that means we use your YouTube data only to provide the analytics, scoring and optimisation features you can see in the product. We do not transfer it to anyone except as needed to provide those features (see third-party processing below), we do not use it for advertising, and no human at TubeAmplify reads your data except where you have explicitly asked us to for support, or where required by law.

Third-party processing

To score and suggest text, your video's title, description and tags are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. To score a thumbnail, and to generate a new thumbnail concept from it, your existing thumbnail image is sent to Google's Gemini API. These providers process the data to return a result; TubeAmplify does not otherwise share your content with them beyond that request, and neither is given your Google account credentials.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is handled by Stripe, which collects your card details directly and shares with us only what we need to run the subscription: the last four digits, the card brand, the expiry, your billing country and the state of your subscription. We never receive your full card number. Stripe holds that data under its own privacy policy.

Email that the service has to send you, such as a password reset, goes out through Resend, which receives your address and the message.

How we store data

  • Your Google refresh token is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and used only to refresh access on your behalf.
  • Your browser extension token is stored only as a one-way hash, we can verify it but can't recover the original value.
  • Login sessions use an encrypted cookie; no session data is stored server-side.

Your controls

You can withdraw TubeAmplify's access to your YouTube data at any time from Google's security settings, at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. TubeAmplify checks its access every day. When it finds the access has been withdrawn, the dashboard says so, and your channel's YouTube data (its videos, view history, analytics, drafts and scores) is deleted within 7 days, as YouTube's policies require, unless you reconnect before then. You can also sign out from the dashboard, or disconnect the browser extension from your account page.
